Final Website
This is the link to our final website:
We wanted Nova's website to link well with her personality, for example every page has bright colours and images.
This the home page, we added a simple navigation bar at the top of the page which allows users to enter any page they wish. On this page there is a snippet of the Nova music video playing in the background.
This is the Bio page which includes lots of interesting information about Nova for fans to get to know her better.
The Shop page has all the merchandise currently available to the public, the merchandise includes t-shirts, phone cases, a backpack, a poster and a cap.

Music Video Representations
Our video plainly represents Nova as being a confident, not sexualised woman who is independent in herself.
Whilst other music videos represent women as having to dress revealingly in order to gain confidence, our music video represents women's confidence as exuding from being expressive in themselves. This representation of females is shown throughout the music video. This is shown by Nova always being covered up with clothes, even in the bathtub shots, Nova is wearing a T shirt, making her not sexualised.
Nova is a representation of a young adult/ teenage female. Her representation is to be confident and true to your self. This is expressed through Nova's personality within the video. Nova is never shy, her actions and movements are always large and unapologetic. She makes eye contact with the camera throughout which shows the confidence which she has.

Music Video First Draft Feedback 2
Our teacher gave us feedback of how we could possibly impreove our music video.
- 39.05 + 1.02 - my love - Nova sings out of time with song
- Contemplated if the mug should be used
- 1.19 - blurry
- Shot of Nova in a dress is very pixelated and does not fit with the other shots, so we completely removed it.
- The shot at 2.23 needs to be longer
- At 1.31 the lip sync is off
- There are 3 weird shots - eyes, spoon, shivers, sofa shot dissolves

Song Inspiration
During the deciding process of choosing our song, we made it clear that we all wanted a fast pace, up tempo pop song. After perusing through different mini genres within this genre of fast pop, we decided that we wanted a song with 1970s/80s style pop.
Below are some tracks which we liked the sound of before choosing NAO's Nostalgia.
Night Fever by the Bee Gees is a classic within the realms of 1970s pop. This song has a similar beat to Nostalgia, noticeable by the fast beats and "funky" sounding instruments used.
Next is Michael Jackson's Beat It. This song is from the 1980s pop movement which additionally has a similar beat and tempo to nostalgia. NAO also has a similar sounding voice to Michael Jackson's - due to both being sopranos and singing in a higher register.
Once listening to these songs, we decided to use NAO's Nostalgia ultimately. This song had attributes of 70/80s pop which is what we were aiming for in our song.

Shot Ideas
- Charlotte obsessed with a celebrity, (James dean?)
- Washing charlottes hair, only showing our hands and charlottes face
- Lava lamp closed up
- Charlotte walking 4 greyhounds whilst wearing an extreme outfit (high heels, wacky hair, etc)
- Charlotte in bath birds eye shot
- Charlotte walking down street changing outfit on each step, reverse effects in street/ alley

- Emphasis on lighting - coloured lighting specifically
Website Inspiration
As described by Nova herself in her interview, Blondie has always been an inspiration of hers from a young age for her music, performance skills, and style and image.
Blondie's website was rated number 6 highest on Winning WPs '25 Top Examples of Incredibly Famous Celebrity Sites'
The website has clear synergy throughout the monochrome and red colour scheme which is continued across the website as a whole. This quality of synergy is an aspect of which we have implemented into our own website for Nova by using a purple colour theme.
Another admirable aspect of Blondie's website is the Video tab, found centre on the navigation bar. This page on the website presents all of Blondies music videos in order of popularity. Despite Nova only having one music video - due to being a new artist - this style of displaying the artists music videos was one which, as a group, we all expressed approval for.
Filming Reflection
Filming Reflection : The filming went very well, we made sure we were organised and cleared our schedules completely for that day, therefore we had plenty of time to film and did not need to rush our filming, which could have resulted in lower quality shots.
What could have gone better was during the second time we went out to film, we could not find a spare battery for the camera, therefore we had to charge an old battery which wasted some time.

First Draft Website Feedback
People in our class asked to evaluate the pros anc cons of the Nova website:
+ Love the videos on the background of the homepage.
+ The transitions are really interesting
+ Clear synergy and colour scheme
+ Original use of video on home page
+ Matches artist image
+ Like the original layout of the gallery keeps the page interesting.
+ I like the effect used wen you open a new subsection
+ Good variety of background images
- Gallery does not allow you click and enlarge the image
- Image under vidoe tab seems poor quality
- Should the social meida links be added to the 'connect' page.
- In the shop section, when a product is added to your cart it gives the user a zoomed image of the item.
With this feedback we will make these changes to the website.
